The history of the domain goes back to the 1900s, when founder Jean-Baptiste Boudier acquired some hectares of vines near Pernand-Vergelesses. Following in the footsteps of Jean-Baptiste's paternal grandmother, who owned a domain and vines in the village area of Aloxe-Corton, the Boudier family continued to grow vines in Pernand-Vergelesses. It is from this family base in the Côte de Beaune that the current domain was born.
Thanks to this winegrowing culture rooted in the earth, Jean-Baptiste Boudier, born in the fifth generation, has developed a passion for vines and wine. In 2015, he took over three hectares of family vineyards. After training at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune, he obtained a degree in Vine Sciences at the Institut Universitaire de la Vigne et du Vin in Dijon, before moving to Bordeaux to obtain the Diplôme National d'Oenologue (DNO).
Inspired in the Bordeaux region by the great personalities of the vineyards, such as Denis Dubourdieu, oenologist and winemaker often referred to as the "Pope of white wines", Jean-Baptiste sought to modernise his own domain and develop a different vision of great wines.
When his father retired in 2017, he decided to keep only the best parcels of the family domain, totalling 4.5 hectares. In 2021, two new appellations were to be added, in Savigny-les-Beaune and on the Hill of Corton.
In 2024, the vineyards selected by Jean-Baptiste represent a family holding of 6.5 hectares spread over 11 appellations.

"Work with precision" is Jean-Baptiste Boudier's leitmotif. His pure, chiselled wines reflect a holistic approach to wine, inspired by the thinking of great winemakers. They also reveal a desire to step back and allow each terroir to express itself fully, working as closely as possible to nature, but with the support of scientific knowledge.
At the root of this thinking are the many friendships that have forged the young winemaker's philosophy and vision and strengthened him in his quest for excellence. With Denis Dubourdieu, oenologist, researcher, winemaker and founder of the Institut des Sciences de la Vigne et du Vin, he learnt a lot beyond academic knowledge about the making of great whites. Then, Gérard and Lionel Gauby in the Roussillon inspired him with their pioneering vision, the freshness and purity of their wines and the importance they place on intuition. With them, he broadened his vision of biodynamic viticulture and sulphur-free vinification, as well as respect for and relationship with plants and ecosystems.
At Château Haut-Brion, working alongside Jean-Philippe Masclef, he became aware of the importance of the smallest detail and the precision required when working in the vineyard and cellar.
In Châteauneuf-du-Pape, after immersing himself in the vinification process at the Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, Jean-Baptiste had a memorable tasting with Henri Bonneau, the legendary winemaker - a meeting that would seal his passion for wine.

The family domain remains a very small business, with three employees and a team of seasonal workers in the vineyards, faithful to each vintage.
